Description
Guafengzai is the name of a village, not a mountain. Cha Wang Shu, a native cultivar of the old tree, is a classic small-leaf variety that showcases the distinctive finesse and aroma of its type. A top-tier Yiwu cup reveals a deep floral-honey and forest-woody aroma that lingers in the empty cup. The bright golden liquor is oily-thick yet quickly turns from a hint of bitterness to a surge of sweetness, leaving a cool, long throat-yun. The rich, harmonious flavour evolves through multiple steeps – opening silky and fragrant, peaking in dense, “wild” sweetness and full body with a noticeable bodyfeel, then tapering to a lighter, clean sweetness while the leaves still release a quiet perfume.
