Naka Pu’er from Naka Village, Mengsong, Menghai (Xishuangbanna, Yunnan; ~1,600–1,800 m) is a connoisseur icon—nicknamed “Little Ban Zhang” and “King of Mengsong.” Expect a high, elegant orchid–honey bouquet, golden silky liquor, a mild flash of bitterness that melts into a swift, long sweetness, and poised cha qi—power wrapped in finesse. Superb as a standalone session and illuminating in comparisons, with ancient-forest material offering excellent aging potential. Scarce by nature, it’s a Pu’er to drink now for its pristine aromatics and to cellar for deeper sweetness and layered fragrance over time.
